Why does Gary,IN have such a bad reputation

Pretty much never went in. Used it for the showers once and never again.

Usually hit a pilot or Loves earlier in the day for a shower and fuel after pilot split up with them.

Pretty much used and abused their parking for restaurant and entertainment location.

 

I always fueled at exit 9 Steel City. In the 90s. They had good food and good coffee. I delivered on 20, near Cline ave. a couple months ago. Can’t say I miss running that way. I’m good for another 10 yrs. or forever.

 

In the 90s. I believe in the last 5 years St Louis has been #1 three times, and Baltimore twice. But that's from memory so I could be mistaken.

Had thee best biscuit and chicken breakfast sandwich from Chika-Fila the other morning.

Lot of Offensiveness there.

Use to get the tank washed at Indiana Tank Cleaners E15th ave. and I65. Then run up to the rail yard to load chemicals off rail cars to the southeast.
Very rough neighborhoods. Kept the .45 at the ready.
