And how much time do you lose, exactly, by letting off the fuel for 3 seconds to let another big truck pass you?
You do realize that most trucks on the road today are governed right?
If you do this 100 times in your trip, you have lost a whopping 300 seconds, ir 5 minutes. But you have greatl reduced your chance of an accident (nobody likes passing somebody for 10 minutes straigth) and have shown some actual courtesy on the road.
Its not our fault you drive a 62mph truck.
Why Does Truck Passing Truck Go about same speed

All you billy big riggers need to whine to your elected officials, and get it made illegal to have a truck governed to a speed that makes it impossible to drive the speed limit. Problem mainly solved. It would not keep people from driving slower than the speed limit, but would solve them not being able to drive the speed limit for awhile if conditions require it.
-
BTW, Ive already whined to mine. They didnt really think that would top their agenda in the next legislative session...lol

How much time have you lost if you let off for a few seconds? None. That's my point. You whine and give me that crap, when you lose nothing. If you do this a hundred times in a day, you've lost nothing, saved yourself some stress and have shown some actual courtesy on the road.
Your nobody special, just because your truck is faster.

You arent making sense. If Im passing your giant roadblock on wheels, why exactly would I let off?
-
If you are passing me then you would have nothing to whine about, but what is being discussed is when I'm passing someone. So it takes me a little longer, deal with it. When I'm done, you can get back in the pedal and make up the few seconds you lost. Why should I slow down to keep from inconveniencing you, if it is safe for me to make the lane change?

You must not know how to read because Im saying the same thing you are. People being passed by trucks barely slower than their own should back out of the pedal for a few seconds.
-
On that point we can agree.
My first post was reguarding all the whining about how long it takes me to pass, and how it's my responsability to show courtesy to the fast truck, but no courtesy is show to us.
So perhaps you should check your own comprehension before questioning my litteracy.

Anybody complaining about how long it takes another driver to pass is an idiot. A tap of the clutch to cancel the cruise control would solve the whole problem.
By the way, its spelled "literacy".....Thats one hell of a word to misspell.
