Why doesn't anyone talk on the radio anymore?

Now the OBAMA boys are tring to get the illegals a path legality by going through homeland .....and bypassing congress ..... before november .....

There are some of us who love our better half and understand that woman's this place in our lives is to fill that other half ...

In Reading some posts it seams to me some people just don't get any of that ....

My wife has been through a lot with me our son now 27 is in a group home after he tried to kill us and our dog he did $4,000 damage to our home in one night. We suvived him and all he did and we are old enough now that in going down the road of life together our parts are beginning to fall off ......

If at 42 you are happy with your other half think about us we are both in our early 60's and she still lets me catch her so you have a lot of years to be happy on your back or other wise ........

There is nothing like having someone to share your life with ...... My grandparents were married 72 years .... and died in their 90's .....

 

I still run a cb as a regular four-wheeler. I have had one because Itis free and no contracts like cell phones and the internet. I like the idea of something not as closely watched as other communications. I have heard a lot of obscene language, but turn it on for the noise. I like the hobby and have tried to taka advantage of the radios being more readily available. I respect truckers for the tough job they have and try to give them room when I can. Just remember to be safe and retrun home.

My handle is whitewolf form minnesota. I am sure I am not the only one with handle but I have been into the cb thing since 1990 and won't change the name.

All this obscene language you all speak of...I just don't hear it anymore...haven't in years...

The newer drivers really don't even know how to use the radio and what half the knobs are for...don't know anything about mic gain or squelch...

But hand them a cell phone and they can break the wave length down into a mathmatical equation...

 

you all have a great point ,i use to love it siting in my dads thunder bird talking to the truckers and it was so cool .when we took trips id have fun talking on it and always injoyed the chats learned alot .i hope things can change back one day.soon i hope i can make a old dream come threw thats driving my own truck but it will take awhile .hope you all injoy life and happiness my god watch over you all and keep safe

 

I think they will eventually excalibur. I've found that the trash talking, people complaining about bad drivers, "cb rambos" and what have you, are pretty much the guys who haven't been at it very long. (If they had, the things they complain and yell about, wouldn't phase them)

I pick up in areas of Chicago pretty much every day and started this thing on the CB. I think it's catching on, can't be certain if it was even me, but every time somebody yells or goes off on a tantrum, I come back with, "You Mad Bro? you sound mad. you should eat more vegetables, or a fruit cup." or come across with my theory on why they get mad. the new driver thing.

ALTHOUGH.

I was coming through Gary last week and the radio was dead silent. I thought I had my squelch up too high, it was down all the way. So on my way to nw. Chicago, I pop out a simple question. "I would like to hear some witty trucking banter about what you all think about Arizona".

2hrs later, on my way back through Gary, they were still going on about it. lolol

On my way through SW mich this week, I drove from Holland, MI area through Gary, IN behind a daughter and mother, (at least that's what they said on the radio). They were conversing on ch19 and it was refreshing to say the least. Talking about this and that, hair, kids, health, what have you. Nobody gave them grief and it reminded me of the old days.

It's not gone yet.

If I want to start something on the local repeaters Arizona is a good start ..

Antenna gain and capture area are good subjects if you want to bedazzle some of them and lets not forget we have a solar flair tonight.... ALL OUR RADIOS ARE GOING TO DIE Or so say the doom sayers ...

Well if I get home and my TS-2000 is not smoking I'll know my I.C.E. lighting aresters did the trick ...... They are made to stop surges or so they say ......

 

Well you know, a lot of the loud-mouths just hide behind the radio. They are people without influence who know it, don't like it, and want to come across as mature big-shots (if there actually is such a thing). At heart, they are afraid and cowardly, that's why they uses the anonymity of a radio. Don't you wish you could heal them?

 

If by heal them, you mean, redirect the rf they're emitting into their cab and cook their grey matter, then yes, yes I do.

 

Albuquerque Is pretty busy on the radio i have had a cb since 16 and find it fun just to chat and whatnot
