Why don't more companies buy gliders

    not to mention a glider with a 3406 cat or Detroit series 60 is likely to get better fuel mileage when you put the aerodynamics of the newer body into the equation.

    Not my experience, but good for you... All I can say is thank God I had Old Fred, a 97 Freightliner with a million plus on him. Old series 60 and a 15 speed... The new def trucks, 5 of them, all sat in the corner broke down. One would run daily while the other 4 sat broken and unfixable... Maybe you can answer me this, why did we need 5 trucks, with payments to run one truck? I could never quite figure out the thinking in all of this. ;-)

    They cost more on the bottom line than a factory stock truck.

    You can spend $30-40K more dollars putting one together than just ordering from the factory.

    And if you buy 10 units from the same dealer, they'll give you a big discount.
