NOBODY likes being EXPECTED to PAY to work... brokers, by and large, EXPECT an OP to take a load for fuel only (oftentimes LESS), and be HAPPY about it...How many Borkers out there would work 70+ hrs a week for just enough $$$ to put gas in their cars to get to and from their home to work??? I'm guessing "NONE" The reason OPs despise Borkers is because that's EXACTLY what they expect out of US, on a never ending and continuous basis... When they quit acting like it's OUR responsibility to do ALL of the hard work for peanuts whilst THEY take 30-50 percent of linehaul, THEN, and only THEN, will OPs start having some regard for these parasites... quit acting all put upon by "unreasonable" OPs... go out in a truck for 6 weeks, eat stale bologna sandwiches and Ramen noodles, while missing out on your 6 y/old's school play, and THEN get told how unreasonable you're being for wanting, you know, more than $1.05 an hour for your labor... go ahead... I DARE ya! 100% of the Borkers out there don't have what it takes to do OUR job for 10 minutes, much less 10 years...
O.K... Spleen vented... for the moment! LOL! -
Not talking big. Trying to get another fellow wheel holder to read instead of spamming the rest of us. Sorry if you like reading the same question reworded 4 times in a day and a half.

Point taken. I apologize.

isn't everything on this websight the same question asked over and over for the 10th time.RedForeman Thanks this.

and i guess you have such great negotiating skills that you don't mind the broker only giving you 1/3 of what they are getting. while you burden all the cost.
there's a 2500 mile load paying $1100. 10 feet wide. -
If everyone that whines about how much a broker makes spent that much time setting up direct freight they could make something of themselves.
Yes its really that easy. -
that depends. where i live. there's not much looking for a one truck operation. and the one's i've talked to so far. pay just as lousy.
-
Everyone has excuses. Its out there you just have to work for it.
We are a 2 truck outfit and we are pulling direct freight for an outfit that has a big trucking company in there that's been there for years. You just have to do something they won't do, work just a little harder then they will or take some left overs now and then.
Sell your service to them not your truck number.SMTatham Thanks this.
