With less than quality materials maybe. The last one I painted which is in my signature was right at a grand for primer, paint, reducer, and hardener.

Love mine, 2014, very smooth ride, great turn radius, good visibility out the cab. I fought and yelled about the auto tranny but I love it. It pulls the west side of Mont Eagle at 40 mph with 78,000. The engine brake is very effective. A lot positives.

Well I haven't had a car since the early nineties so I guess materials price went up. The last one I did was acrylic polyurethane with a clear coat. I still have the air compressor and the Divilbis my dad left me. Maybe I will try again after I find a crappy $10,000 truck.

The thought of an air ride steer is nothing but scary to me.

Of course, I'm up to 670k on a spring ride single screw, so I may be slightly biased. :)

He changed colors. We are also talking about a complete paint job, not just spraying the cab and hood. The truck had run in North Dakota hauling sand and so there was a lot of prep work.

    LOL

Reminds me of when I was approached by a Korean company a couple of decades ago to help them market and distribute a very popular brand of beer, popular in Korea. I told them they either had to change the name of the beer or create a brand especially for the US market. They were offended and asked me why they had to do such a thing, as they were very proud of their brand.

"Well sir, the problem is no self respecting red blooded American man is going to be caught dead walking out of a store with a six pack of 'OB'"....

That was me and some other guys at the Petro when I leased onto a company out of Weatherford. While waiting for drug test to come back, then first dispatch, I already had one of their trailers, and we had one of those mini stick on basketball hoops and mini basketball stuck on the trailer pulled by my white 670, all wearing sweat pants playing mini basketball in the parking lot.

That is precisely why getting out of the gate, I need a Freighty or a Volvo. Just need to get it done for a few years and build a nice roll.
Pockets get deeper, then yea maybe some time to fool around with multi thousand dollar expenditures.

They are certainly better looking than the first gen Cascadia, and they surely are comfortable to drive... but to me a truck is not only about function, but feedback to the driver and looking cool while doing it doesn't hurt either.
