This is literally how I got the job...
I wanted to work out of a certain terminal. So I listed the terminal as my home address with CRE. The fact was, my real home addy was just a mail drop with a relative. But just for listing their terminal as my home address, I qualified for R&R. Experience, grades, and all else had nothing to do with it.
When I left, I was under the impression that they want all of their future R&R drivers to work out of their Salt Lake City terminal.
Since this was NOT the terminal I wanted to work out of, I had to get a hotel room more often than not. You can't stay in the truck after you turn it in. And they won't give you a bed unless they hear from your dispatcher - who is usually told not to have them give you a bed unless you're going to sitting for more than a day.
I got a ton of tax deductions that last year I was with them.

All I can saw is WOW. The revelations that have surfaced in this thread are nothing short of sensational.

I have been on this account for 10 months so I'm clear what to expect. In 4 months I'll have 2 years and probably take another job.
It's hard to decide though because, now there is a bonus program worth about $100/week to me and also a mentor program (to dial newcomers into this account) worth about another $100/week.

That's about $1,200/week and going home almost everyday. Also the houses out here are very cheap; it's tempting to buy.
Hard to know which way to jump or weather to jump at all. Regardless, it is a very good thing to have choices.

I'm having a real problem with this post. It seems impossible that anybody would remain in a situation like the ones described. There are quite a few decent, if not good, truck companies out there. I hate to read garbage like this.

You obviously don't chat with very many drivers. A lot of them are borderline retarded. I find luckys posts totally believable!
