Rubber_Duck Thanks this. -
Actually not. Couldn't figure out how to copy thread posting into this thread. I can always delete this thread if you all think I should.
Thanks! -
Advertise away. Honestly I was curious why you left so I'm glad you posted the link.

And I left May because I wanted to see if I could pull of the shortest trucking career possible...
The only reason I could even attempt to be gone for any length of time is because we had a live in brother in law helping to watch our kid. He bailed so I did as well.
Couple other reasons that made this decision easier to swallow was...
-A DM with a bad attitude. <-- could have been an easy fix with a phone call
-Said DM denying me a night at home when I was within 10 min. of home and stopping for the night in secured yard <-- again a phone would have solved that
-living in fear that my paycheck was going to get dinged for idle time. I was able to keep it under 20% in the east heat wave but not without some severe suffering.
-low paychecks that I know I could make in town going home to my family every night
-said DM calling me the next day threatening my DAC report even though I completed my current load was the topper.
Great company, great operations out of Denver minus 1, great training, fantastic trucks
Thank you for the opportunity but some things in life are just more important to me.
My hats off to any driver out there with a family still making this work for them.
Got some leads on local driving so here's hoping they pan out.
Thanks to everyone in the May forum for all the help!! -
Sorry things didn't work out 3Xsober. Nice meeting you at Fogelsville. Good luck to ya. Regards,
Sky King -
