make that a cash bonus under the table...other wise, it may be on the same weekly paycheck or a separate pay check, and be taxed.

    for me, at a 35% tax base, that'll be only...$ 325.00

    lots of character Thanks this.

Office staff cannot keep up the falsehood of appreciation longer.
Someone has to eat the hot dogs and burgers cooked as the gesture of appreciation, and the office staff can only eat so much. We have to work, so the gesture is lost on us.
If you haven't noticed office workers like to go out for lunch rather than eat in. They can't use that excuse to get away from work when the burgers are present.

    G.Anthony Thanks this.

Granted, I am a biased office guy, but I think your pay is what you get from working, and "appreciation week/day/month" is for reflection for the work that all of you guys do. To remember to not take what you do for granted.

I know, blah blah, show me the money, but seriously, it gets thrown around all the time, but this is the truth: If you can touch it, it came on a truck.

    Thanks for all you do.

People are supposed to appreciate us this week? So far it seems just like the other 51 weeks.

well i am confused by why you posted(quoted to me, as i spoke of the taxes taken out of that bonus) to me. are you saying then, that you office people appreciate what we do as drivers, and you office people deserve the cook out and snack's and drinks, and we get only some sort of hidden agenda thank you for all OUR HARD WORK.....?? while ya'll sit on your arses, and screw up the loads, paper work, customers locations, and such and such..???

are you (as an office worker) are saying that you people need to reflect on our hard dedicated work, because with out us, you'd have no jobs.>??

my pay, his pay, her pay, is what we EARN each week, MUCH LIKE YOU PEOPLE in the office, but i don;t see too many (or any) office worker appreciation day us drivers can celebrate and eat those hot dogs, burgers, and gulp down those drinks...

i don't give a dam, " if you can touch it, it came by truck", you are preaching to the choir, why don't you preach to the general public instead..?????

i am so confuuuused by your posting, using me as your "poster child".....

i was MERELY pointing out, that $500 bonus ANOTHER DRIVER spoke about, would be a MERE $325 to ME after taxes, or did you fail to fully read MY POSTING..(that you quoted...??????????)
