The words at the end - should be avoided - give you a clue that it is a trick question.

Key word was "Just"... the others you need to do, but don't do it "Just" before a turn..

reminds me of the basic skills test back in 74 in the military... you have a rifle, how do you disable a tank. Correct answer was shot at the treads... but they still have their big gun to shoot back... most retarded answer I ever saw...

LOL. That is insane. Big difference between "disabling" and "stopping" a tank. Call in the Warthogs!

Not a "bad" question. Just one that is worded in a way to make you think. Which, I feel, the entire test should be written that way. If one can't think his/her way through a question like that, he/she has no business behind the wheel of ANY vehicle. Including one that requires a CDL.

The key here is their use of "just before" the turn in answer A. You should signal well in advance of any departure from lane like turns, exits, merges, etc. The whole point is to notify those around you (who are paying attention and not on their cell phones that is) that you are preparing to make some maneuver in the direction indicated and that they should make appropriate adjustments to their driving if necessary and safe to do so. You want to indicate far enough in advance that they have the time to make those changes if necessary or that you realize you can't make the maneuver.
