He ain't living in the truck. That sleeper is plenty big enough to get a few hours of shut eye in before heading back to the house.
Why is this tractor so long?

I'd like to get a big dog box, but there's no way I'd make my deliveries.
Have to settle for that 86" KW.Maj. Jackhole Thanks this. -
Bull haulers don’t sleep and you can never have enough cool.
Actually it’s not any longer than most trucks with a big house.7-UP, shogun, villageidiot and 3 others Thank this. -
Right. the empty frame space just gives the assistance he is extra long but probably right at 300. Doing what i do now id rather have the big bunk. But if i ever fall into a gig were I'm only out a night or two at most, nothing looks cooler than a stretched out flat top pete.Blackshack46, wore out, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

The only thing I do in a truck is drive and sleep. What do I need a big sleeper for? If I had a big sleeper, I would want a hot tub and a stripper pole in it.Maj. Jackhole, fargonaz, Blackshack46 and 8 others Thank this.

Its like the constant arguement in the European truck thread. One guy seems to think our trucks are #### because we can't stand up in them. Last time I checked trucks were driven while seated.
7-UP, Blackshack46, BoostedTeg and 3 others Thank this. -
You are more sociable thank me. I can only take people, especially the average driver, in small doses so i spend a bit more time in my truck when i have a surplus of downtime. And i prefer to prepare my own meals, that requires space. Oh and that running water thing is rather nice.Maj. Jackhole, wore out and TripleSix Thank this.

Quite a few times, I will get out of the truck, check into a motel, get a pizza and a case of beer and not be seen for a weekend. Or at least until the beer has run out.wore out, taodnt, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

In ND, the Alaskan crew I worked for, they brought theirs down and all their trucks were stretched way out and heavy.

He might be hauling some of the long loads that make having a long wheel base necessary.
I can't remember the type of loads but there was a guy having 2 of those trucks built a couple years back. Specifically for those loads.
