Derp, chevy astro was the one i was thinking of, that point about minivans stands (in my defense, i know a bunch of people that refer to say their avalanche as a "truck" and i just cant let that slide)

but as far as looks go, the gmc astro isnt great, but its not terribly ugly, fld classic high roof stands out as the least attractive to me

I mostly posted because of what you said about the front axle being the drive axle until you flip a switch. That is not correct either. On a normal tandem axle truck with a power divider and with the power divider UNLOCKED power can go to any of the 4 wheel ends. The one with the least traction will spin every time.

Did he add on to the sleeper ?
If I had the wheelbase I’d definitely extend the sleeper for more living space

I don’t think anyone commenting here has any care about the wheelbase , it’s the empty space that’s a puzzler.

Why stretch the frame and then NOT use a longer sleeper ?

I’ve even seen some cabovers with a stretched frame . Normally used for hauling beams or pipe on flatbeds I guess with a lot hanging off the front of the trailer , but all of em I’ve seen are hauling a van.
, but I’d have an apartment back there sitting on all that EMPTY frame .

There's more than a few of those get ignored out in farm country. The farm equipment running over them doesn't fall through it'll be fine.
