I've ridden with my hubby with a couple of companies. One didn't require me to pay extra insurance. One did.. but it was only $25 for a whole month. And that company was looking forward to the day they could make me a permanent addition to the "team" and keep me out there full time.
Another company he drove for allowed anyone, and my son went with him for over a week. No extra insurance costs there either.
It all depends on the company.
