Why not use gas engines?

    Simple answer is you can carry a lot of diesel because gas blows up and diesel just makes rainbows, they don't make transfer tanks for gas engines cause you'd need hazmat to carry it.

    Same reason why sailboats switched from gas to diesels, safety. Also diesels outlast gas engines, my pickup is a diesel and had I bought it with a gas engine my warranty would be 50k vs the 100k that I have on the diesel.

    Surprised nobody mentioned Cummins conversions to LNG hat were supposed to be the new big thing a decade ago?
