Why pay for reserved parking when truck stops will let anybody park there for free!?!

Just paid on the app here in Ohio. I arrived later than expected so its packed with only a few Reserved parking spot left. I was thinking of not bothering to book it just incase other drivers booked but didnt arrive yet. However, the app says 27 available Prime Reversed Parking spots left yet there is only 2 Reversed spots available. Strange right? Just goes to show that most don't bothet booking spots and take a chance on parking for Free.

 

Add me to the list of ppl who have reserved a spot at a Flying J or Pilot to get there and all the spots were taken.

Sometimes employees will knock on doors and tell unpaid parkers to move. Other times at other local they won’t.

The first time they refused I called the customer service number. Was told that the official company policy was that employees are NOT required to knock on doors.

No problem when that occurs I politely tell the manager on duty that I’m parking wherever my rig will fit without blocking traffic. One time I parked on the curb next to the building blocking access to their dumpster.

I also tell them that since they won’t knock on a door to have the driver move out of a spot they didn’t pay for there is no reason to knock on my door if I’m blocking some that hey need access to later.
