Why regen so much?

    As cold as it is, I wouldn't idle that engine. I know it's tough, but it will wipe out the scr box and warranty can deny the claim from excessive idling if the dealer runs ddec reports which is part of the troubleshooting for a caused failure. If I could get a log file of the regen I could find a possible cause or even a previous fault code present.

    That is a really nice looking truck SKL. We have a 122SD dump, but it has a Cummins.

    My Star's DD15 is in a dump application. It doesn't ask for parked regens very much in the summer or winter when I am loaded to 140,000 pulling my pony. But when I haul snow with just the truck in the winter it wants a parked regen every 8 hours.

    Change the filter at the pump star 4900 it will stop that problem but when you idle you must idle at 800 rpm its recommended by freightliner
