Friday some flatbed went by and he was just a few feet from this SUV. I flashed him after he cleared but he stayed out. He had clear lanes on both sides to move over but stayed glued to this car. He must have been trying to make a point to get them to move over.

I do notice that you appear to have issues with flatbeds...

You realize that it is a governed truck and drafting means doodly squat right?

It's also a gutless wonder of a truck which means it benefits greatly from drafting.

An argument could be made fuel mileage improves. But if you are that close you're ####ing up.

There is no speed increase on a governed truck by drafting. The millisecond a governed truck gains speed from less wind resistance of drafting the ECB will cut fuel to hold the parameters set.

They DO ride that close. But i think you are misunderstanding what i was saying. The governor is less of a factor cause they are running right at full power. but as soon as they jump in the left lane all that extra wind resistance slows them down a half mph so they can't pass you.

Myth busters disproved this years ago. Actually you get worse fuel economy because of the turbulence in air behind truck. To actually get benefits of drafting they had to basically get on the Dot bumper like 3feet away.

Not quite 3. More like 7. Its ridiculous how dangerously close some of these guys drive.

I love to cruise along at 6 miles above the speed limit. I wait till someone (especially a mega) is passing me. Once the middle of thier trailer is even with my drivers door.
I increase speed and stay there. I watch them in the mirror and laugh. If they try to go faster. I increase speed, and laugh harder.
After I get tired of that game, I slow down, let them pass me and get in front.
Then I swing around them. Put the middle of my trailer on thier drivers side door, and KEEP IT THERE. Until I get tired of playing.
Then I speed up, to about 75-80 for 2 or 3 miles. Laugh my arse off and wait till the next one wants to play.
