Why the Dislike of Denny's?

Lousy service is the rule at Denny's. Don't dare drink all your coke after the food arrives because they plunk the check on the table with your food and consider you non-existant from that point on. If they refill it you'll probably eat all of your food before they bring it back to you. You know it takes a good 5 or 10 minutes to walk over and refill it... I always get a kick out of the "would you like your drink in a cup for the road?" when they see you are about to get up and leave the table - as if that is all it takes to equal rave reviews for superior service landing them a big tip for job well done... ...really it just makes the whole experience that much more unimpressive... In a pinch, with no alternative, I'll eat an omelet there on occasion but that's about it.

Cracker Barrel
Lone Star Steakhouse
Red Lobster
Texas Roadhouse
ETC.....

 

ya but their food is better

 

I actually like the Red Lobster near me, and the Cracker Barrel.. There actually is a little variation on the fresh menu at Red Lobster from different ones. And some of them do suck...

 

Oh heck, I've even stripped a few of them myself, back in the bad old days. You are right, they ain't sexy.

Easy there RM, you be talking about some of my favorites. Red Lobster and Texas Roadhouse are anything but boring. Some really good food there.

However Lone Star and Cracker Barrel are mediocre at best.

 

First off, all I was doing is showing that he was complaining about the same food being offered at all of the Denny's.

The same food is offered across the country at many restaurants.

usually when at any restaurant if i need more to drink , i just ask for it.

most of the waitresses are dealing with many customers at once and are flat out busy. some just arent good waitresses.

heck, i have to tell my wife to get me more tea when i am home, you would think she would see the empty glass and fill it up. need to retrain the heifer, she wont get my paycheck next week.

by the way this post was dripping with sarcasm.
