Why there are more smoke exhaust times after cleaning DPF filter element

While driving my 2016freightliner cascadia, the little yellow light on the engine occasionally came on and the mechanic checked it with the computer and told me that the DPF filter element was not good. So I found the maintenance man to clean it!
But it feels even worse. In the past, it was necessary to exhaust smoke once every two days or so, each time about 45 minutes.
But on the first trip after the cleaning, it leaves Friday morning and exhausts smoke on Sunday morning. Next, one on Wednesday, then one on Thursday/Friday. It makes me feel depressed.
What could be the reason?

 

That’s The MIL, Malfunction indicator Light.
mine was just fixed, mine was doser valve was wollered out and leaking DEF into mixing chamber, a lot of it, they scraped a 5 gallon bucket full of crystallized def out, and put a new doser and an awning to stop that.

Sometimes it was just the MiL light if you kept driving it made you do a regen when both were on.
when the yellow light next to DEF level flashes yellow, it’ll derate to 55 and lose 25% power.
it’s a 16 Cascadia.

Freightliner can check it quick, dropped mine at Jonesboro AR Freightliner on a Monday morning, it was ready Tuesday morning.

Actually Friday afternoon but i couldn’t get over there that day.

As you said, when the yellow light flashes with the engine check and DEF yellow lights, it will be derated to 55 and lose 25% of its power.

 

yep, they will have to remove fairing under passenger side door,probably replace doser, clean all that crystalized def out mixing chamber and do the awning Freightliner in Jonesboro AR said about $3400 estimate.
was actually $2900. 1 day job there, their mechanic knows what he’s doing on DEF systems
