    My opinion is that the pick-up driver must have felt that Vikingswens had cut him off to the point where he had lost his momentum and it made him mad enough that he wanted revenge. So what the pick-up driver's plan was to return the favor and brake in front on vikingswen to the point that Vikingswen would lose all of his forward momentum, and the the PU driver would speed off laughing. Only problem with the plan was either Vikingswen was not paying enough attention or he was understandable angry and misjudged how much the PU driver had slowed down. I think we have all been there at one time, angry at the other driver --- but I think what separates the professional from the amateurs is the Pros are able to keep their emotions in check while driving. --- Just my opinion though, I could be wrong but if I was on a jury that would be the conclusion I would draw from the video for what that is worth.

    4 wheelers do stupid stuff all of the time like this #1 driver in the middle of nowhere Texas (sorry for the bug splatter:)

    But it is unfair to critique the mans actions unless you were there. I had a swoop and squat performed on me in L.A. A mid 90's red Civic came over on top of me and locked them up. I was doing 55mph, and luckily, I was paying attention and was on the brakes before they were in front of me. They tried 3 times to get me to hit them, and the only way that I was able to get them to leave me alone was to slow to 5mph in the right lane of I-10. That incident was the determining factor for me to get a dash cam. Anyways...here is some entertainment of drivers really not trying to stop.

    Gravdigr , your statements and observations are quite true , especially the one about the moving over a lane for a vehicle on the side...I always tried to give them space by moving over. And I always slow down and move to the side for an emergency vehicle/law enforcement.

    You are right about the accident too,.... "if".... the driver of the pick-up had not tried to brake -check the Op , the bump-up would've never happened. Not gonna try and dispute the validity of your opinion. But if you'll go back and read my very 1st response to the OP , you'll see this....Page number 3....post number 50...

    {Quote}......1st off , I'm glad there weren't any injuries except some plastic and metal.....But I'm seeing this as different....Now granted I was NOT there and I have NO dog in this fight..so I'm just stating an opinion....not judging or second guessing. But what I saw was from the beginning of the tape the OP was running way to close to the traffic in front of him from the white van trailer at the start to the flat-bed..he was running up behind those slower trucks much faster than is safe, and as he was pulling out into the other lane to pass them he pulled into that lane way to close the other traffic...tailgating is tailgating...whether you're going up hill or down or on a flat road...it's not safe...and you don't have time to stop...granted the pick-up driver was an ### , but had the OP given himself more room to start with , or maybe exercised a little more patience , and just fell in behind those slower trucks we would not be here now discussing it. I mean I saw the traffic as being pretty heavy and all...sometimes you just need to sit back and just roll with the traffic...takes more time I know , but it's a lot less risky....{ Quote}

    I never tried to judge the OP as to whether he was wrong ...OR ...right in the actions he took...Said so at the beginning of my post. I just gave the OP "MY" opinion on what I saw in the video....he and some others disagreed with "My" opinion of the way the OP handled the situation...granted some agreed with me too...Either way it makes no difference...like I said I don't/didn't/or never will have a dog in this fight...all I did was give an opinion on how I saw the incident unfold , and how "I" thought it could have been avoided....does that make me right and the OP wrong...nope..all it does is give others 2 different views on how accidents can be avoided....The OP did what he did...his driving style is a bit more aggressive than mine would have been or will be in the future...only thing is after he gets to the 33+ year mark in his career he won't be able to claim an accident/incident free career....I still can...Happy Trails......

    I think it was intentional... A sore neck and new truck grab... SURPRISE, you were just caught on camera... And then his story changed! Engine trouble my ----!

    his first post says the pick up driver changed his story after being told it was all on camera. there's no way it wasn't intentional on that guys part.

    I 100% agree with you on everything you've just said. There are times I would have loved to have said to hell with it when some idiot does that, but I play it safely. I've had em do it to me in HEAVY heavy rain where they REALLY slam on their brakes, not just slightly tap em, yet I was able to avoid a horrible wreck. If I'd caught up to them at a truck stop later, then yea I'd prob have kicked their pathetic ###. But I'm not going to put all the other drivers lives at risk around me to prove a point to one idiot.
