If I remember a previous post correctly, the OP braked hard enough for a load shift! Even going up hill it's hard to stop a loaded trailer quicker than a 4 wheeler...
Why we all should have a dash cam

Very common practice in California. More so than any other states.
anyone driving California should have at the least a dash cam.
I bought a camera also.
I need another one, as mine does not do well in dark. -
I am not sure some of you (accuser) notice the disabled truck in right lane which caused all the trucks to move left one lane....but if that pick up driver was just ticked off because he was cut off but too stupid to notice why he was cut off, then brake check one truck and then cut off another 18 wheel and then barely give the 18 wheeler enough room to stop... then that idiot 4wheeler really should be charged with something or at the least his license should be revoked.
as for trying to say Vikingswens should have tried harder to stop..... ridiculous !
Have you bothered to time this how fast it all happened?....have you noticed how heavy traffic is? ....like the 18 wheel should have slammed his brakes...what!!!
As an 18 wheeler driver, my first reaction is to cause the least amount of damage possible, on a very busy hwy I do not slam my brakes unless there is really a need for it... there was not a need, a perfectly well functioning pick up truck with a normal idiot in it should have sped up, you mentally (without conscious thought) weight the pros and cons of this situation and rear ending the pick up was the safest thing to do.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
