I bought a new cobra 29 lx and a Firestick antenna, the truck already had a rg 59u installed. I only see one antenna hookup but read only that a rg 59u was for dual antennas. Do I need to go out and buy a new coax cable? Also I have a 2015 international and if I got a new cable what would be the best way to run it?

It’s not that you can’t use RG 59 coax for your single antenna on your radio, but it’s just enough difference in impedance that you won’t be very happy with the performance of your radio. I’m currently using RG 8x with a single hustler antenna on this Pete that I’m driving. I’m not familiar with how to route coax on an international truck, but it seems like I’ve seen other threads on this forum about this same subject.

75 ohm cable "can" work fine.
An antenna analyzer is the best way to test it.

That's true, but in the absence of an (expensive) analyzer to test it with and the probable need for an antenna tuner to get an acceptable match, as adjusted, the prudent path would be simply to get a 50 ohm coax.
