We take the loads because we can.

We take the loads because people say we can't.

We take the loads because we have the right to choose.

We take the loads because WE ARE AMERICANS. ( And what so proudly we hailed......)

pride don't pay nothing......and don't pay the bills.
Choice 'C' is take a little deadhead to a better market.
Personally, I wouldn't want to do the load. That said, I'd know better before I went to the market that had that load.
BUT, if I f'd up and that was all I had, I'd do it before I sat.

I'm getting just such a load fully shoved up my ### now as we speak.

Nothing load pays $600 to go from outside PHX over to SoCal to get my good load.

Get to shipper. No pick up number. 20 minutes goes by, they go to lunch. Another 20 minutes goes by get p/u number. Another 20 minutes goes by, shipper returns, has locked herself out of the scale building.

    SO

2 hours after arriving I have a tare weight and go to get loaded.

3 hours after arrival have loaded weight, departed.

Get to reciever. Arrive at 0815. FB says 7-11 FCFS. Receiver says you had an appointment at 0700.

    SO

Sitting here until 1400, I go last.

    The horror continues......

You have to blind side into this place. And there's just enough room, like a 2 foot drop off in front of your steers if you don't hit it just right.

Anyway tore my driver side mud flap and holder off on the curb.

Depends on how long you have to sit in the dock on each end. That was an $800 reefer load.

It is not only that the customer is lousy customer. I think about the rest of us . If I get that kind of rate , this customer will think that we are #### and stupid , so he will continue paying that rate .

I would do halfway back empty, or as far as it takes, less fuel less hassle. Been seeing loads like that in the south lately. Freights getting tight, have to be careful where you go, and for what rate.

I honestly doubt that. Furthermore I doubt anyone who has uttered that BS prior to you.
What you would like us to believe, is that when considering a load, weight, pay, routes, weather, parking, fuel, etc.......also, the thought goes though your mind, "Gee, I wonder what the other fellas will think if I pull it for this rate?".
BS. You do what's best for you; as do I.
