Can you explain your math ?
Maybe I’m just missing something but what I’m reading is that you are making $1.69 per mile profit and your fuel is what? 9.3 cents per mile?

If that is what you meant. I think your numbers need to be recalculated

If not. Let me. Or anyone reading this for advice know

    I have a 2021 truck and 2018 trailer
I figure $1 per mile goes to the truck for all miles

Fuel for a truck getting 8mpg and fuel at $2.80 would be $0.35 per mile just for the fuel

When someone says profit then I assume that they mean what’s left after overhead
So I would take your $1.69 profit and then add all my expenses on top of that so if you took just a $1 for simple math then you would be at $2.69 per mile gross for every single mile you drive the truck. Empty or loaded

Here's the deal, if it makes you happy then don't waste your time trying to explain it, just be happy. Theres always someone around wanting to knock you off your path, don't let them stay the course and in the long run you will know.

It wasn't about happiness & knocking them off the path. It was about the math.

Other than fuel and insurance do you pay a percentage to a company or do you run your own authority?
And I assume any truck payments or repairs come out of that $1.69 correct?
