Seems like everyone I know is going to some kind of nursing school, there must be a nursing shortage too.

It took about 4 weeks to get mine done in GA. Government stuff always moves slow and when you have two of them to deal with, unemployment office and the WIA office, it seems to take forever. Just stay in contact with them. The test are easy just basic math. If you can make sure your paycheck is correct then you will not have a problem . Good luck.

Yeah, I can do basic math, just a little worried about the Algebra part. I don't get why Ky only pays half when other states pay the full amount of tuition.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long it usually takes to receive a WIA Grant. I checked on it a week and half ago and they got a copy of my license and social security number for the background check but I still haven't heard anything back. I still haven't turned my application in (supposed to wait until everything comes back) , just wondering how long it usually takes to get the grant? I've also not taken the TABE assessment yet. Thanks for the help guys.

I got an appointment tomorrow to turn my application in. I wonder what happens after that?

I don't think it's going to take you 2-3 months. Just do what they tell you to do and if at any point you don't hear from them for more than two days in a row, call them and remind them that you still exist.
