From what I was told from both of the Schools I went to, if they don't work in the field that the WIA pays you to train for you have to pay the gov back.....not sure if this is true but thats what I've heard...But if there broke crackheads you can send them a bill all you want there not going to pay it....

Thats like trying to force a drug dealer to pay income tax on money he made selling drugs.....aint gonna happen! haha

Well, I don't know what they'd do with me as I have tried 3 different OTR companies with no success, if I can't find a company to hire me AND keep me, how in the world could I pay them back?

Have these companies told you why they have turned you down?

    Just curious.

    Not turned down, failed.
Roehl- failed road test, not hired from orientation

Covenant- failed 2 road tests (claimed I hit curb-first one for sure, second time, not sure)

USA Truck- failed training (had to drive all night (8pm to 6am) and I had not slept the previous day) for being unsafe to drive while phase 2 trainer slept. Perhaps I would have done better if I had slept the day before.

From my research it may vary. While the funds come from the Fed, it seems that each state and sometimes each county control the actual administration of the funds.

I have been unable to find a straight up yes or no guideline on repayment.

Here is a wierd Idea. Do them like Military wounded done if they take a severance pay. You can not draw unemployment benifiets till you have paid it back ie been unemployed for time irt wouldve taken to get 4k in unemployment.

Failed 2 road tests with 2 different companies? And failed with USA for intentionally driving when you knew you were fatigued?

Are you serious? In training, you do what your trainer says. He said drive and I did. So don't call it intentional. He knew I was fatigued and didn't care. He has a dedicated run and all he cared about was the 'load.'
