What programs are open to u through WIA depend on the state. In Florida they would fund only ROADMASTERS & the amount dropped from full payment to partial. I think it differs from county to county as well as state to state.

Here in Louisiana I went to school through the M.E.T program which
is basiclly the same thing as WIA. They paid a total of $5400 for the
schooling, $200 for a food vouchre, and paid me $6.15 and hour for
every hour of schooling. The hourly pay came out to two checks total-
ing around $490.00 each or close to that. The requirements were that
I had to have a job for at least 14 months following graduation. The
funny thing about it is that the job did not even have to be CDL related
as long as you held a job for 14 months. That was not a problem for me
whatsoever, when I graduated I started driving and am still with the
same company. The ladies that helped me get funding were very nice
and helpfull, they even called one day aobut 5 months after school and
asked if I wanted another food voucher. Seems that they had some
funding left and had to get rid of it before it was taken back by the
state. -
