Yep I could do it from anywhere. I have learned alot over the years. Plus still more to learn.
I have alot of pilot cars is different areas that can do legal and proper route surveys. Not off of google.
Can set up online accounts for doing permits as well.
Plus I keep alot of my old permits. Can refernce off of them in certain areas. Have alot of police escort numbers as well

I just look up the provisions for each state online...its all there, you just have to look it up.

I print them...so I only have to look them up once.

You are way too organized for me LOL. I have the ones in my permit book for the normal states we run (East coast) but if im going some where new before i get the provisions sheet i will look up every thing in the book and it gives me an idea of when i need to shut down and cerfews and such.

Just Google these terms...."general provisions oversize load" (include the state you're searching for)

LOL...It was the company's idea...they gave me provision sheets that were current when I started (2 years ago), but its up to me to keep them updated.

Also...you can find info online that is sometimes not included in books like you have, such as the exemption in IL for farm equipment...and that KS will shut you down if the road is wet (NE can be pretty picky about that too, but not as bad as KS...depends on the DOT cop)

I also have pilot car phone numbers organized by state...and preference, they are NOT all created equal!
