If Verizon isn't available in your area, US Cellular is the same basic deal. US Cellular and Verizon share some towers in areas too to provide better coverage. A friend of mine works for US Cellular which is how I found out about the tower sharing. I've been with US Cell for the phones for about 5 years now, and we just got hubby set up with the Wi-Fi for him on the road earlier this year. He's liking it so far.
