As long as you stay ahead of them and don't let them pass you, you'll be okay!

if I remember correctly it's 20,000 per axle for pups and Dolley , subject to 80,000 gross weight and yes doubles do have to cross dot scales

If the dolly isn't well greased you will get more "wiggle" from the rear box.

Also, there is no way of weighing your loads. You have to go by how much percent is loaded, which is gonna be on your seal control slip.
Or if you are at a center/hub where you seal it yourself, look in the trailer yourself before you seal it to determine which one is more loaded.

I used to match kitty against two trailers on daycabs on the NYTP In upstate NY.

Those day cabs they got were amazing. Two full 48's and outpulled me.

Never had the chance, but I heard backing up a set of doubles is like pushing a chain.

Most companies pretty much forbid you from putting the truck in reverse. Pushing a chain is a very good analogy lol...I like that.

Oh, for cryin',,another one of those "common sense" deals. I can see the disclaimer sticker now, "When pulling multiple trailers, do not use reverse",,:biggrin_25513: I tell ya', I don't think I've ever laughed so much at a website. A sad laugh just the same.

I actually got to the point where I would set up real nice and back the kite on to a door lol. It was a pointless personal goal of mine. Working on a hero hook is another way to get your blood pressure up lol.

    x1Heavy and 201 Thank this.
