I still can't believe drivers complain about paying for things. It's called "The cost of doing business" just like when a mechanic buys his own tools, or when you use your cell phone for company business. First off why not facilitate the process with a small investment. Its not like you have to buy the truck, or the freight and then get reimbursed for it. Secondly just like ironpony said. Its tax deductible.

I was supposed to go with them last october. Talked to Randy for about 2 months leading up to my leaving home, kept telling me everything was good. Hadn't been OTR in a while but still been driving, was told a month maybe two to get back in the swing of things with a trainer. It was looking good. Better half called him a few times with her own concerns and after talking to him was on board also. So I went ahead and gave my 2 weeks at my then current employer, called Randy to let him know I was good and looking forward to coming on board. It's then that he decided to change his story about training that I would be out 6 months or so yadda yadda yadda. So needless to say I didn't go with them, the OL called him ripped him a new one, and I fell into a local union gig here in Philly about a week after that. Not so big on unions but the company is decent and I'm making pretty good money. I was really disappointed in not going with Wil-Trans, was looking forward to running the road again and they seemed like a decent company but it's much nicer being in my own bed. I would just caution to be sure all your ducks are in a row and be certain that what you're being told is accurate. Randy was a hell of a nice guy and my experience dealing with him was great up to the point I was ready to leave home. Good luck with them, keep us posted on how it goes, not alot of info here on them.
