Tell the new guys to carry some dehydrated water with them in case they are stuck in a snow storm or something similar.

Handy stuff, just add 4 quarts of water and you will get a full gallon.

 

Smow Storm? Why do that when you can melt snow for water. That's for summer use only in the deserts. By the way.. I figured out what headlamp oil is.. Its kerosene, will have to give it to a mechanic, they know what tank to fill

Granted... I always liked telling people that they came into contact with a lethal material every day. This stuff eats metal, and rocks, it can kill people and animals... Contact with it has been known to cause severe burns in certain instances.

Hydric acid is some pretty serious ####. Australia has even tried to ban it...

Carpenter here also, we had a guy empty a van looking for a sky hook. He actually worked into a good framer.

Edit-Also in the Marines one guy fell for going to supply for 100 yards of flight line. He wised up on not going for the 5 gallons of prop-wash later.
