    If it is slipping it will, provided it does not need replacement. Otherwise, you have a different issue.

    usually no if you can get it in gear just fine than most likely you dont need adjustment if it is however slipping you do but if it slipping you will barely be able to move.

    My mechanic said it did but I really don't think that's the problem I lose speed going up hills

    He said it needed an adjustment I don't think that's the problem but I lose speed going up hills and even I push the accelerator down to the ground and still losing power

    Umm, you do know that in order to combat gravity more power is required, and that shifting down is usually required, and in turn that means going slower as a result of said actions and gravity?
