Thats possible but that is gross pay and does not include that you will for all intents and purposes, be operating two households, you CAN live very thrifty on the road, but that also takes money to get to the point to be able to do so and eating and living out of cans and boxes gets very boring pretty fast. Just look before you leap into something that will make it worse on everyone concerned. If you are already having financial trouble, starting the trucking process is NOT going to be a fix let alone a quick one.

I live with my parents so my expenses are low. I am looking for a way to survive until the economy improves. I'm in a resort area and my hours get cut or I'm laid off or fired every winter. I'm used to thrifty at this point, this seems like a better alternative to another crappy summer job that pays nothing. If I can save anything, I'm ahead of where I am now.

Two things truck companies don't mess with......an open workmans comp applicant and an un-settled traffic citation. Trucking is very physical and you can injure yourself in many ways.
