Curious what you guys think. More and more edicts keep being handed down from governors which limit or ban freedom of movement. On top of that, more and more people keep getting freaked out by this 'pandemic'. So do you guys think it'll be enough to severely limit the amount of trucks on the road?? Imagine if supermarkets start getting shipments of bread and other basic staples only every 3rd day. Its going to be pandemonium before long if you combine a crashed economy with millions upon millions put of work along with a decimated supply chain because trucks arent rolling with the goods.

I'd think rates would be high if theres less trucks willing to do the work?

I think you'll still see grocery shipments but not much else. Nobody's buying anything other than the essentials right now anyways. Don't really need many trucks for that.

Just remember, supply and demand. Always somebody willing to work for less.

Switch has flipped at my company.... more freight than they could handle 2 weeks ago, now... very very slow. I waited till noon for my first dispatch this past Monday. They are slowing hiring and say the rest of the month looks really bad. My buddy at Averitt that runs team shuttle was told to take a week off, no freight. IDK... doesn’t look promising right now.

The world is hurting right now. If you're working enough to pay the bills and put food on the table, you're one of the lucky ones. Not many of us are still on the job.

That’s the problem. The number of available trucks is up and the number of loads is headed down.
In another thread yesterday someone posted in their area 1load posted, but 133 trucks posted.
