I finish up in various places, but usually plenty of fuel stops outside the cities I can use, sometimes out of hours so I wait before driving out.

Lost prime on the DD15 once, when I went from the Monee, to Minooka, and finally to Morris, IL. Called for help and finally just primed the thing with the plunger pump, 250 or 350 pumps, and it ran but the tanks were full, it might take more with tanks near empty, not going to try it to find out.

An early ISX I drove would just shut down, don't know why, but it acted out of fuel, with the pickups centered in the tanks and covered.

Found out later the charge pump had an intermittent leak, so maybe that was it, the darn thing would prime even with that problem.

The worst fuel problem I had was with Madison WI. That fuel stop in the 76 there was in a literal middle of nowhere for me and my single 145 gallon fuel tank. I was cursed with a tractor that needed fueling twice or three times every day chaining me to a logbook. Sheesh.... I think ATS is laughing at me even now. That poor tractor did not have the stamina to do much around the USA with that little 350 Kitty. But it was my first kitty. Ugh... it was a nice engine but gobbled fuel something awful on the hills.

I get to madison and put a stick inside that tank came up with a smidge of fuel on the bottom maybe three drops and dry stick. Shut her down and wait until midnight due to stupid logbook out of hours that day... flipped on the wabco heater because it's 10 below about 5 parking spots away from the fuel pump. You know those heaters burn fuel.

Gripe gripe gripe. Filled it headed into st cloud and filled again. and again and again. That time with that company was all about fuel more fuel and a disgusting amount of fueling. Want that load where? HA.... hand me a bunch of money please.... we be fueling.
