I got the annual DOT done in January at the TA. My company wants four of those a year but will except a passing level one inspection instead.

Right. They will upon request inspect a truck if a driver feels it is unsafe do to company neglect or other similar reasons. However they are not there to be a cheaper alternative to TA. Lol. Man.

I like having the sticker too. It’s like having a “get out of coop free” card. Once you have a clean level one in their database they hardly ever call you in to weigh.

North Dakota just first what is popped up from the Google, regulations are FEDERAL. Just think how much money you can make doing inspections for your company.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Do you man. Maybe you figured out a way to beat the unruly $65 quarterly inspection system.
In my 25 years of dealing with DOT I have learned to stay away when possible but be prepared when it inevitably happens. I like the little sticker too.
If you were leased under my numbers and I found out you were ambling around scale houses trying to save 65 bucks I would terminate your lease.
