I park at scales regularly during the night. Pull right on in with my chest out because my #### is correct. When I leave I hit the left hand bypass looking straight ahead getting every gear I can find. Lol

Yeah your cheap ***** needs to learn something, you asking for an inspection assuming that every inspection will be a green light and a sticker but you increase your chances of having a violation or two which defeats the purpose of you trying to save money.

Probably true. I’ve been driving a semi for 4 years and no tickets and no violations in 5 DOT inspections, 3 being level 1. I’m due. There’s been a couple of times I could have been written up but my excessive obsequiousness got me out of those situations. I once got a sticker at Dunsmuir with a faulty glad hand seal that hissed like a banshee during the brake stroke test. He just said to fix it before I left and wished me well in my travels.

Bean Jr. and Socal Xpress Thank this.

Couldn't find pics. Found this cut out view online. If you look at the barrel like end where the bolt goes through, the underside is where the hairline crack shows up.

We've all been extended sensible courtesy from time to time, an inoperable blinker, wheel seal that's just starting to seep, etc. Eventually, you'll get that one guy/gal who's even nicer than you think you are and ask you for your license and tell you to go park it in their lot until it's fixed.
