I'm betting it will, would just like to know if any of you have had success doing so. I spread about 40 oz all over the floor from back to front. I had a load of garlic potatoes I delivered prior to this pu and this customer won't load the stanky trailer until the garlic smell is gone.

I'm not sure about the coffee, but I do know that a butt-load of baking soda will HELP get rid of the odor. Other than that, ya might just have to get a wash-out.(and this is probably the quickest and easiest way to de-odorize your trailer.)

How long does it take for a washed trailer to dry (never had it done b4)? Trailer would have to dry out quickly to go that route.

Tell the customer that garlic keeps away Vampires....and if they doubt you...ask them if they have seen any Vampires since you were arrived....

But then I'd have to get ice cream to go with my steak that the garlic is making me hungry for lol. It seems it lessened considerably just from airing it out a while before I even applied the coffee.

The fastest way to dry out a reefer after a washout is to set temp.at -10. Reason being, the cold sucks the moisture out, rather than heat adding to the humidity.
This will take apprx. an hour- hour 1/2 to dry, but open your doors for a bit before backing into dock, so as to allow ice on floor to melt before they start loading.

(this is how hubby does it when needing to get clean trailer for next produce load)

Thanks Judi. This is a dry van though with a wooden floor (I probably should have mentioned that lol).
