I can appreciate the idea of privacy as it relates to this issue. However, if I feel so strongly about it that I'm going to make a stink over it in hopes of avoiding a clear condition of my employment, I'll do well to choose a line of work that does not interfere with my philosophy about privacy-related issues.

Sorry if that sounds harsh but we're talking about one's own safety on the road and the safety of innocents on our roadways.

I agree with you on that, being under the influence is not a privacy issue when operating equipement, it is a safety issue..

The 7 year California policy about criminal convictions means you don't have to put the conviction down on the application?
