You got one of those coveted linehaul jobs right out of CDL school.

Don't let anyone get you down; if you hear a driver that works there complain, ask him/her why they still work there. That usually shuts them up.

The trucking school was pretty decent I guess. Only payed 1300 bucks in 3 payments. It's call first choice trucking and the instructor there I very intense, everything is fast paced. I've never drove a truck before but I learned how to alley dock and parallel in about 3 days. They work with you so you can schedule when to come. Pre-trip took about 1 week and a half to learn in detail lol. Took me about 3 weeks to graduate. You won't learn everything but you'll learn the basics. I think I got my money's worth

Yep. What this woman said! Once your pee pee test comes back they'll schedule your orientation. Assuming you pass that is.

^^^What Chinatown said..even if its a little rough, hang in there and get some seat time and a year in.
That should help keep you in local jobs,if you choose to stay thate course.

I wouldn't call it "coveted." You should read the thread on Gardner, they pay their drivers peanuts.

Does it sound like good news? Not to me.Had a buddy worked for Gardner in Washington.$15 hour flat rate or "mileage runs. No deadhead pay back to the barn unless they have a backhaul for you! He would drive 330 miles to Spokane for about $150 then mostly drive back to Olympia for FREE. Their main base is in Fontana or Chino. They have active M13 gangmembers with bandannas working there, countifeitures, and someone profiled on Dateline. Have a tax break deal worked out with Govt to hire felons. THIS ISNT GOOD NEWS!
