I have a 2009 7400 with a maxxforce dt and an 8ll. A neighbor has a 2000 4700 with a dt466 and an automatic. He threw a rod and will sell me the truck cheap. I need the hood for my 4700 and can use one of the doors for another truck I have. My 7400 is an old railroad truck so it's all about the welder, air compressor and crane. It doesn't go more than a few thousand miles a year. It needs a clutch and no one around here likes the engine trans combo. The 4700 has a cable shifter, not electronic. So the big question is can I put the allison from the 4700 in to the 7400? I won't know what trans it has until I talk to the parts guys at my dealer in the morning. Vin of the donor is 1HTSLAAM0YH276430 in case that helps
Will it work.
