And so,we are to let the "hooligans" win? (I wanted to use a different word) Stand up,and fight, for what is right..It is a war,of course, which cannot be won, however, many battles can be. I am from New Ulm,Mn;and proud of it. I am currently in a EW Wylie truck,#101..

"If every Jewish and anti-nazi family in Germany had owned a Mauser rifle and twenty rounds of ammunition AND THE WILL TO USE IT, Adolf Hitler would be a little-known footnote to the history of the Weimar Republic." -- Aaron Zelman

    Yea, I second that!!!

Wow Injun what a night. Glad you were ok, i'd probably of done the same thing or more.
Stitched on badge is not enough for me.

you should get one of those stickers they put up for camcorders.

"Smile you are being recorded" and stick it on the corner of your windows. Then they know they have to be on their best behavior.

A thought just occurred to me. (Don't say it. I know. The pain was awful.)

Many officers, especially the local guys, for some reason, have this "Us vs. Them" mentality. It's actually drilled into them beginning in the academy. I remember in some classes, hearing to always be alert. Yeah. But we were also taught to first use a low-key approach and try to set a calm tone for each encounter. Be respectful even though your subject could blow your head off if you're not alert.

    But here's the correlation.
How many truckers have this same attitude toward 4-wheelers?

I will follow up on this to the longest possible extent. It needs to be seen through, if for no other reason than to show most drivers are not dopers, criminals and morons. But please think about how I felt with this rogue when you are on the road dodging bumpers and feeling your blood pressure rise. The person in that car may see you the way I see this deputy.

23 years ago,I too,had a LEO 20 feet away pointing his revolver at my head;(long story) I asked him three days later in court if he would have put a slug in my leg,he informed me no,he was not going to take any chances with me..Some cops are in fact crazier than the "bad guys",the point I am trying to make?-We all have a sense of right and wrong, and when stepped on,must step up,otherwise, the craziness will continue..

So glad you and AJ are OK. I know you well enough to know you don't overreact, so if you were upset, then it had to have been an upsetting situation. Sometimes it really sucks to be a woman.
