I just got my class A CDL from a local school. Does Prime hire rookies? Even though i have my license, will I still have to go through a training program?

Last I heard Prime will hire driving school graduates within a certain number of weeks after they receive their license. Calling a recruiter would give you a definitive answer on that.
Also, even though you have you license, you will have to go thru a training program. CDL schools basically get you your license without really teaching you the "lifestyle" so to speak. You'll be learning how to deal with customers, get your backing fine tuned, and learning all the paperwork. I'm not 100% sure how long your training would be, but it would probably be about 2 - 3 months, and then you would get your own truck. -
If you have no experience other than just getting your license, you will be required to train for 60k miles. You will be classified as C seat for a couple weeks with .10 mile with a guarantee minimum of $500. After that its .12/mile or $600 min. (per mile is all team miles with your trainer) -
thanks for the info u2. I will be attending orientation on May 5th.

U2; you reckon he will get one of those training trucks where he has to sit on a milk crate riding shotgun?
losttrucker Thanks this. -

If they take out the stereo and AC they can add more weight to the trailer...

This just in...milk crates are now banned from all company trucks. Now what?

Wait until they come up with a maximum weight for "carry on" baggage.
