A lot of them do choose their loads. It's true there is no ownership, but no different than if they rented a truck and signed it on. And a l/p truck has to be free to move to other carriers, otherwise it's an illegal contract. Prime i think it was, got sued big several years ago over that.

Maybe the morons inside the beltway could work on a tax plan that works for everyone equally instead of trying to crush the few still willing to work. Wishful thinking I know.
