I hear that! Everyone is scared at my yard, Reddaway, that they are eventually going to make us pay for our benefits. Already did it to management a while back. They went from paying nothing to paying 300 a month! Even my supervisor said "benefits are paid by the company for the time being" and explained to me they are all just waiting for the day to come when the drivers will have to pay some or all of it. It sure helps offset the lousy starting pay we get at Reddaway. If we have to pay for our benefits then I want an extra 5 cpm like most other LTL companies get.

YRC has been in financial trouble for so long that I don't even listen to the reports of them being close to going under anymore....

Sorry, this means nothing! YRC will milk it back to the appeals court for so many years and IF they have to pay, they will make such small payments it will never hurt the bottom line.

Well YRC is stronger in the east, from what I understand anyway. Out here in the west YRC has Reddaway to route freight through if they so desire. You really looking for another job ACH1130? I thought you had a pretty good gig there? I do agree that they are always keeping us on our toes or trying to scare us some how. I just ignore it, like I did at Yellow. If it gets too bad or lay offs start coming, I'll go else where.

They signed a consent decree. There is nothing to appeal.

They aren't hiring in southern California now and things seem to be slowing down out here.
