How many units? Gotta watch clearance on the front one if it overhangs much. Also, some states don't like overhang on 53' trailers

17,000 kg on tandem up here
10'1" = 9100 kg each axle except Manitoba and west where it's 9100kg for the entire 10'1" spread.
Your gvwr truck is 32,000 and gvwr trailer 45,000 so gcwr is 77,000. However your maximum allowable is 12k steer, 20k single drive, 34k trailer tandem, or 66k max actual allowed. Gvwr/gcwr must always be equal to or more than actual gross vehicle weight. For this setup take the truck and trailer empty weighs and subtract that from 66,000 that's how much you can haul so long as you can load it right not to exceed the given axle weight maximums of 12/20/34. -

Depending on the empty weight, sure, you'd be legal anyway.
Can this trailer only ever fit 6 cars maximum? I thought some of them can do 9 or 10 cars. You're still limiting yourself a fair bit due to the weight. If you had a tandem axle tractor you'd increase your gcwr to 97k (12+40+45) and gAwr (gross allowable) to 80,000 (12+34+34) for usa / 39500kg Canada (5500+17k+17k) (about 86,900). Also consider should you decide to exit who buys single axle tractors? Don't see hardly any running around for exactly this reason. -
No overhang allowed on highmounts in Canada
Hammer166 Thanks this. -
You'll be taller than a Georgia pine tree if you can't have overhang off the front of that trailer.
Hammer166 Thanks this.
