Even if life would’ve continued as normal here we’d still be experiencing shortages of products because other countries shut down. That’s the problem with outsourcing everything from raw materials to electronics. But the reality is not much, if any, of that kind of industry will ever return here. It’s the perfect situation for everyone else when one party here wants to radically change this country and we also have a weak, incoherent commander in chief.shooter19802003, Ruthless and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Priced out a trailer not long ago, salesmen told me the manufacturer bumped up the price when they put the tariffs on products coming between Canada amd the usa. Even tho they lifted the tariffs the manufacturer still kept the inflated price. Once they see the customer is willing to pay what the asking price is good luck on seeing it drop. It's why fuel os so costly despite the price of the barrel. It's why the price of vehicles are so high despite never being so cheap to make with everything being out sourced tp foreign countries.
Next step socialism, unfortunately it's closer then any one wants to admitBean Jr., shooter19802003, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this. -
You've missed the point entirely. It's global, my friend. Try to see the forest beyond the trees.Bean Jr. and shooter19802003 Thank this.

Socialism has been here for many decades. Everyone has been sleeping.Short Fuse EOD, Bean Jr. and shooter19802003 Thank this.

It’s real simple folks, it doesn’t take a Masters in economics, it’s called supply and demand. Prices will eventually drop when the supply outweighs the demand. They may never comeback down to pre Covid prices, but they will eventually drop, same with used truck prices and freight rates.
-
Money is itself subject to the laws of supply and demand though. There is nothing special about money in that respect. Prices may never drop if the Fed keeps increasing the money supply.runningman0661, Bean Jr. and shooter19802003 Thank this.

How is me saying that outsourcing is a problem and everyone waiting for us to have a weak leading not acknowledging that it’s global? The places we rely on to produce things we don’t make here all know they have this country by the short hairs and they will face no consequences for any of their actions.shooter19802003 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
