I need the money, but it's not all about that. I know that I can be a better teacher than the general population of mentors that Swift has to offer and can make a difference (for the better) in someone's life. I get a sense of satisfaction when a student graduates. Seeing where they were and where they are six weeks later. The former drill instructor can relate to this with new recruits. It's also satisfying when a former student calls me up and tells me something happened that while it was happening they heard my voice and remembered what I told them to do, saving their life and/or those around them. It doesn't always happen that way, but when it does, it's very satisfying...

Training can be fun you get to meet new people but here lately I guess I have gotten a bunch of bad seeds. I'm taking a break from training the last student made me rethink about training

Blue, I think you should keep at it but try to screen them a little differently; you might be able to weed before they get on the truck. You're a great teacher and you should be doing it. Besides, how are you going to afford hair care products? What if M stops supplying the freebies? You need the money!

I believe highflight1985 would be a good mentor. If he's as articulate talking as he is writing he actually should be exceptional. It would be refreshing to have a few mentors with a brain.

    Thanks for the kind words...

For anyone possibly interested, my current student is about to graduate. I'll be taking the rest of the month off from training as I have engagements this month that are not conducive to training (student would be sitting in a motel room more than is reasonable). I'll be available starting the first of June.

Man,Im no rookie, but new to tankers.I had a tanker trainer that busted my balls on everything I did recently. What a complete douchenozzle some of these guys can be.
I can pick things up pretty quick, but this guy was reliving his army days.I didnt sign up for the army, and guys like that should have stayed in the army.
I don't think in my 43 years of living Ive been corrected that much I guess it makes some guys feel better?
