Everett, I heard coffee grounds work wonders for getting the stink out, I know I hauled pickles and they stunk up one of our vans for a couple of days!
that's a neat idea noggin, never heard of that before.
Will you hate me?

by the way i love my power mirrors, there super great for those idiots with there high beam's on bright's on your left rear trailer and they have the cruise on , cause they don't wanna pass ya, , that's when i let my finger's do the walking too the power mirror button and give taste thee own medicine they back down quik and turn off the high beam's and get behind me, but i'm afraid one day i'll pull that trick and be a smoky bear and my goose will be cook'ed.
aiwiron Thanks this. -
If you use laundry soap use an unscented, many paper places want no odor at all especially if its a food grade paper as it will absorb all odors.
Everett, aiwiron and The Challenger Thank this. -
That's what my spotlight is for.....they can't aim their high beams after I shift my head out of the light path.....but I can rotate my spotlight until they go away! lol

Wait till ya get load of brake drums outa Wi, they bring over a pallet of 2x4 and box of double ring shank nail;s and big hammer, then then the dance begain's, they go in put the first row in, they go away , you go in taking the 2x4 in and your nails and big hammer , then repeat the dance all theway back, i had too buy a heavy duty crowbar to get those nail's out the floor , that was a fun day for shure

If I pulled a van all of the time I would buy a battery powered nail gun, we haul some slitted copper coils in our vans and they are the same way...
may be something to look into EV, I don't think a battery nail gun could be all that pricey?Everett Thanks this. -
Yep, and again with paper places, they do not want any nails, or anything sticking out of the floor as they will load large rolls right on the floor and nothing to rip that paper. I used to run a paper machine, and the slightest tear in the side will break a "web". Believe me, if a company loses time re-webbing constantly someone will hear about it. Can you tell I haul a lot of paper?Everett Thanks this.

yes in the end that's what i did , bought a cheapo from harbor freight i think it was $60 not sure then use my air hose for the tire's and quik chuck and i was in business and like a goober , i left it in the truck when i left the company, it was about shot anyway ,no big loss

That's where my 800 watt PIAA lights come in handy on the headache rack. Flip the switch and you'd swear you were looking into the sun lol

Ariwion, I've got an agent up here that told me if I ever decide to get a 48' van, he could run me between Chicago/Indy/Columbus and back every week for a really good rate. I've tossed around the idea quite a few times. Only downside for me is the flat-top truck pulling a box. My fuel mileage would take a huge hit, but a nose cone on the wagon might help.
Everett Thanks this.
